Athletic Coordinator

The Burke County Recreation Department is accepting applications for the position of Athletic Coordinator. This is a full-time position with benefits. Applicants may apply at the Burke County Commissioners Office in Room 205 of the Burke County Courthouse, 602 Liberty Street, Waynesboro, Georgia, Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., online at www.burkecounty-ga.gov, or at the Burke County Recreation Department, 465 Burke Veterans Parkway, Waynesboro, Georgia. Office Hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. All applicants must have a B.S. Degree in Recreation, Sports Management, or a minimum of 2 years experience in organized athletics, a valid Georgia driver license and able to pass a drug screening test. A background check will also be conducted on each applicant. The job will remain open until filled. Recreation Aide/Seasonal Position (4 positions open)

 The Burke County Recreation Department is accepting applications for the position of Recreation Aide/Seasonal Worker to help with Athletics, Camps, Special Events, and Concessions. This is a part-time position with no benefits. Applicants may apply at the Burke County Commissioners Office in Room 205 of the Burke County Courthouse, 602 Liberty Street, Waynesboro, Georgia, Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., online at www.burkecounty-ga.gov, or at the Burke County Recreation Department, 465 Burke Veterans Parkway, Waynesboro, Georgia. Office Hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. All applicants must be currently enrolled in school or have a High School Diploma or the equivalent and a valid Georgia driver’s license (or legal picture identification) and able to pass a drug screening test. Program-Athletic Aide Job Description

Concession Aide

 The Burke County Recreation Department is currently taking applications for a seasonal Concession Aide. This person will be responsible for taking orders from customers, entering the order on the cash register, making change and delivering the order to the customer as well as cooking and prepping the food.

Will train individual selected on everything needed to do the job. Applicants must be 16 years of age at least. For more information, see linked below PDF below.
